London Stock Exchange sees record fund listings in H1

Nine fund IPOs over the period

The London Stock Exchange has seen a record £5bn raised in initial and follow-on capital by listed funds and REITs in the first half of 2017, as the city continues to attract a growing number of international fund managers.

A total of nine fund IPOs raised £1.4bn during the first six months of the year, five times the figure seen over H1 2016, while exisiting listed funds and REITs raised £3.6bn in further capital. According to the firm, London continues to be an attractive market for international fund managers, particularly from the US. Year-to-date, US fund managers have listed funds worth over £3.5bn in London.    This has comprised a diversified list of products, from micro-cap, real estate specific funds for social housing, private rented sector and student property, to life sciences and debt funds...
