Legg Mason hires alternatives product head

Victoria Rock has been appointed head of alternatives product at Legg Mason, leading the newly established global alternatives team out of the firm's London office.

Rock, who was previously acting as a consultant to Legg Mason's International Product team, is joined by Chris Larsen, who moves from Legg Mason's closed-end fund operations. Prior to establishing her own consultancy firm, Prideaux Associates, Rock was global head of Citi Group's $3bn hedge funds platform, responsible for business development, fund formation, fund accounting and manager oversight.
