Gina Miller considers second Brexit lawsuit over 'Henry VIII legislation'

Concerned about ministers' authority

Gina Miller, the businesswoman who successfully filed a lawsuit seeking parliamentary approval for Brexit, has indicated she may bring a second case over EU laws.

According to Bloomberg, Miller (pictured) said she would consider going to court over whether the government could enact the Great Repeal Bill. This bill will make EU laws into UK statute when the UK leaves the European Union in 2019.  Supreme Court rules UK Parliament must vote to trigger Brexit Miller is believed to be concerned about how the bill would affect working hours and human rights and 'Henry VIII-style legislation', which would give more authority to ministers.  Under the bill, ministers would be able to adjust or remove part of the laws to make them workable in the ...
