Henderson hires ex-Baillie Gifford US manager Tabberer

Henderson has hired former co-head of Baillie Gifford's North American desk Ian Tabberer to run two of its global equity strategies alongside Matthew Beesley.

Tabberer (pictured), who left Baillie Gifford last May, will co-manage the $5.7m (£4m) Henderson Horizon Global Opportunities fund and the £145m World Select fund. Tabberer joined Baillie Gifford in 2008 and was co-head of the group's North American desk. He also co-managed the £390m Baillie Gifford American fund alongside Gary Robinson, who has gained Helen Xiong and Tom Slater as co-managers since his departure.
