Newton unveils two new investment themes for thematic strategy

Newton Investment Management has added two extra investment themes to its overall thematic investment approach, dubbed 'Abundance' and 'Mind the Gaps'.

The themes focus on how companies will be challenged to maintain pricing power, and weaker global growth will create greater differences between countries over the coming years. Announced at the company's annual conference, the two new investment themes will sit alongside Newton's existing investment themes, where they will be used to guide fundamental analysis. The company said it believes the issues are likely to shape the investment landscape in the years ahead.
