Matthews Asia launches Asian credit fund

Matthews Asia has expanded its fixed income fund range with the launch of Matthews Asia Credit Opportunities fund.

The new UCITS product will invest primarily in US dollar-denominated high yield bonds of Asian issuers, but will also buy into convertibles, local currency bonds, asset backed securities, warrants, and equities. It will be co-managed by Teresa Kong (pictured) who also runs the group's Strategic Income fund and the rest of its Asia credit opportunities strategies; and Satya Patel, who co-manages the Asia strategic income portfolio.
