LGIM appoints Rakvin as global head of index funds

Successor for Toutounchi as he retires after 20 years

Legal & General Investment Management has hired Chad Rakvin as global head of index funds as Ali Toutounchi retires from the group after 20 years.

Toutounchi announced he will be retiring from the group in January but he will continue to work for LGIM in a strategic and advisory capacity. Rakvin (pictured) joins from LGIM America where he was head of US index funds in 2013. He will now lead LGIM's UK, US and Hong Kong index teams who manage around £275bn in index assets. LGIM has also appointed Eve Finn as head of portfolio solutions, a new role for the firm following increased client demand for solutions spanning the full range of the company's expertise.
