Three former Brewin Dolphin directors have joined forces to launch their own investment management firm, Brighton Capital Management.

The firm is run by David Pegler, Ewen Emmerson and Francis Jarman, all formerly of Brewin Dolphin, as well as former Barclays Wealth head of strategy and proposition Tim O'Connor.

The team will offer bespoke investment management and financial planning and invest in equities, fixed income, investment trusts, funds, exchange traded products and structured notes.

Pegler, who is the firm's principal, said: "The team and I are very proud to be launching Brighton Capital Management to the market. Together we have over 80 years' experience in wealth management.

"We believe our boutique offering allows us to provide bespoke solutions on a client-by-client basis for typically a better price. Our aim is to offer clients more control, better engagement with their wealth manager and greater independence."

Raymond James Investment Services will provide the regulatory and compliance functions and act as the firm's administration platform.
