Property managers look to Sweden for European returns

The German market has been a stellar performer for property investors this year, but it is Sweden that could be the 2015 winner, managers suggest.

At Investment Week's Property Breakfast Briefing on 22 October, European property managers Marcus Phayre-Mudge from F&C and Andrew Hook from Aviva Investors took opposing view on the future of this year's success story. Germany has been one of the top performing European markets for property and, as a result, managers have been tactically overweight the country. Hook has held up to half of his £226m Aviva Investors European Property fund in the country, while Phayre-Mudge has 17.9% of his F&C Real Estate Securities fund in Germany.
