Henderson Global Investors has appointed a former Goldman Sachs Asset Management sales manager to its UK retail sales team.

Matthew Nesbit will be associate director with responsibility for key London accounts from 28 April 2014. He replaces discretionary sales team associate director Mark Little, who left the firm in November 2013.

Henderson UK retail distribution head Simon Hillenbrand said: “It is important that we have people of good calibre in place to support our clients and to provide excellent service. Having someone with Matthew’s experience and enthusiasm is a welcome addition to the team.”

Before working for Goldman Sachs, Nesbit spent seven years at Aviva Investors in a similar role.
