Hawksmoor's Scott steps down from CIO role

Hawksmoor Investment Management's Richard Scott has stepped down from his position as chief investment officer to take a more active fund management role.

Scott (pictured) has been CIO since 2008 when he joined Hawksmoor from wealth management firm iimia. His new role as senior fund manager will see him focus on managing the Hawksmoor Vanbrugh and Distribution funds as well as the firm's model portfolio service. He will also sit on the investment committee to oversee management of bespoke client portfolios. The Vanbrugh fund has returned 13.6% over the year to 22 November, according to Morningstar, compared to a sector average of 10.3%.
