Franklin Templeton revamps funds to create Opps range

Franklin Templeton is to overhaul its European equity OEIC and rebrand Ben Russon's UK Select Growth fund to create a new range of multi-cap portfolios, Investment Week can reveal.

The group's Templeton Europe OEIC will be renamed Franklin European Opportunities on 30 September, with management of the portfolio switching to Mike Clements (pictured) and team, managers of the top-performing £630m Franklin European Growth SICAV. The fund's objective will change to acknowledge Clements' investment style, which utilises a concentrated portfolio of around 25-45 European companies from across the cap-scale. Meanwhile, the Franklin UK Select Growth fund, managed by Ben Russon, will also be rebranded on 30 September, becoming the Franklin UK Opportunities fund. Russon...
