Martin Currie adds to Asian equities team

Martin Currie has hired Damian Taylor as investment manager in its Edinburgh-based Asian equities team.

Taylor will join at the start of July from digital media agency Rocketer, where he was chief financial officer. He will report to Andrew Graham, who was appointed head of Asia in April, after Jason McCay left to set up his own investment boutique. Andy Sowerby, executive director sales, marketing and client services, said: "We have made a number of hires over the past three years to strengthen our investment floor and this appointment is a further senior research hire to underpin resource in our Asia team."
