Aberdeen's Hemmings joins AIC board as F&C's Tigue departs

Aberdeen Asset Management's William Hemmings, head of closed-ended funds at the group, has joined the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) board.

He replaces F&C Investments' Jeremy Tigue (pictured), who has retired from the board after a nine year tenure. "I am very pleased to join the AIC board, at a time of significant change for closed-end funds. There are undoubtedly significant opportunities ahead as we broaden the shareholder base of the sector but, at the same time, investment companies face considerable regulatory challenges," he said.
