UBS hires Zurich's Hutton as head of UK wholesale

UBS Global Asset Management has hired Stephen Hutton as head of UK wholesale to spearhead the firm's drive into the third party discretionary market.

Hutton joins from Zurich Intermediary Group, where he was Northern head of distribution and platform proposition, and has 25 years' experience in the UK wholesale market. Prior to Zurich Intermediary, he oversaw Fidelity International's IFA sales team, and has also worked at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) and Invesco Perpetual Investment Management. At UBS, Hutton will be tasked with developing UBS' wholesale business, which has £2.3bn in assets under management, and will be in charge of an eight-strong sales team.
