Budget 2012: Six predictions

IHS Global Insight outlines the six policy measures Chancellor George Osborne is likely to reveal in tomorrow's Budget.

IHS' chief UK and European economist Howard Archer said Osborne has limited scope to implement any major economic game-changers, given the slowdown in economic activity and slippage in fiscal targets. "There is wriggle room for some manoeuvering, but the cost of these measures will have to be balanced out through savings initiatives," he added.
