Legg Mason unveils Income Optimiser fund

Legg Mason has added a fixed income fund to its UK onshore range, to be run by its US-based subsidiary Brandywine Global.

The Legg Mason Income Optimiser fund will be managed by Gerhardt Herbert, Regina Borromeo and Brian Kloss, using Brandywine’s top-down, value-driven investment process. The fund will aim to maximise income in all market conditions over a rolling three- to five-year period through investment in sovereign debt, emerging markets, credit, mortgages and currencies. The launch will sit alongside the other two Brandywine funds in Legg Mason’s Dublin range.
