Rajat Gupta, a former director of Goldman Sachs, has been arrested by the FBI on suspicion of leaking information to jailed hedge fund billionaire Raj Rajaratnam.
Gupta, also former global head of management consultant giant McKinsey & Co, was arrested today on criminal charges related to his friend Rajaratnam as part of a continued crackdown on insider trading, according to reports. Gupta was identified eight months ago by prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in Rajaratnam's case. He is alleged to have leaked inside information to Rajaratnam.
