Japan has been struck by an earthquake aftershock with a 7.1 magnitude, which has rattled the country's north-eastern cost, exactly one month on from the deadly tsunami.
Workers at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant have been asked to evacuate, while Japanese authorities have issued a warning for a three feet high tsunami after today's earthquake. Early reports suggest the plant has not sustained further damage in the latest quake. It struck as Japan said it was extending the evacuation zone around the nuclear plant because of radiation concerns. The French Cac and German Dax both slipped 0.5% as the news broke.
