World markets have dropped after Japan was struck by a second earthquake in as many months.
A tsunami warning has been issued for north-eastern Japan after an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 struck off the east coast of Honshu. Global markets have fallen on the back of the catastrophe, with the FTSE closing down 0.56% to 6,007 after being in positive territory prior to the quake. The Dow Jones is also trading down 0.49% to 12,366. Elsewhere in Europe the French Cac has slipped 0.49% to 4,028 while the German Dax is down 0.5% to 7,178.
