Jupiter names Chatfeild-Roberts' deputy on Managed fund

Jupiter's Simon Somerville has been named John Chatfeild-Roberts' deputy manager on the £275m Global Managed fund.

Somerville, who manages the group's Japan Income unit trust, will support Chatfeild-Roberts in running the fund, which is built around the stockpicks of Jupiter's regional managers. "Simon is regarded as one of the leading managers in the Japanese equities sector and also has experience managing global portfolios," Chatfeild-Roberts says. "In keeping with our policy of developing our fund management team, it makes sense for us to utilise Simon's talents by increasing his responsibilities."
