Henderson's Peak comfortable with 12% Gartmore stake

Henderson's Stephen Peak remains comfortable with his near 12% stake in Gartmore despite seeing the fund manager's share price slide more than 30% this week.

Peak owns Gartmore across a range of his long-only funds, including New Star UK Alpha and Henderson UK Opportunities. He also holds the stock in his pan-European vehicles, Henderson European Focus (US mutual fund) and in an array of his long/short hedge products - including Henderson European Absolute Return. Henderson says Peak, the only manager at the group to hold Gartmore shares, is comfortable with his position.
