Paul Jourdan, renowned smaller companies manager, has completed the MBO of Noble Fund Managers with colleague Douglas Lawson.
The manager, who was formerly First State's head of equities, runs the Noble AIM VCT and CF Noble UK Smaller Companies fund. These will now be renamed under Amati Global Investors brand, named for Andrea Amati - who made the earliest know violin - as Jourdan spent the first eight years of his life as a violinist. Amati aims to broaden it range of investment products in the future, but current plans are to raise a further £14m for the Noble AIM VCT - which Jourdan has managed since launch in 2004.
