Henderson Global Investors is planning regional multi-manager funds to lift the burden of fund selection from asset-allocating intermediaries. The vehicles will comprise concentrated portfolios, typically investing in fewer than 10 funds each, in major markets such as the UK, Europe and Japan. It is considering making the US version an enhanced-index vehicle along the lines of the US large cap component of the Witan Investment Trust it manages.
