fsa in talks to allow direct retail investment in hedge funds once protection is established
The FSA is planning to consult on plans to allow retail investors to invest directly into hedge funds, according to Callum McCarthy, chairman of the regulatory body. McCarthy said the FSA will look at the extent to which retail investors should be allowed to invest directly into the asset class, compared to indirect investments via pension funds or asset managers.
