Last week's Inflation Report has been widely reported as yet more doom and gloom. More inflation, less growth, the end of the 'nice decade', lower standards of living, and an apparently impotent Bank of England, unable to do anything to help. Add to the mix a Government seemingly making fiscal policy up as it goes along and is it any wonder bond markets seem a little gloomy?
