Investment trust Isa purchases through investment trusts and their managers decreased 44% from £66.4m in the second quarter of 2001 compared to £36.9m in the second quarter of this year. Despite this, however, investment trust Isa purchases in the second quarter this year were up 16% on the previous quarter when they registered £31.8m, according to figures from the AITC. The total purchases in investment trust saving schemes were also down in the second quarter compared to the same period last year. They decreased 28% from £81.1m in second quarter 2001 to £58.5m.
