Intermediary group Chartwell has linked up to Cofunds and will now split trail commission on direct unit trust and Oeic investments with investors. The launch of Chartwell's Cashback service means, according to director Pat Connolly, if a fund pays renewal commission, investors will receive 50% of the trail paid twice a year. The group already splits commission on Isa sales, Isa and Pep transfers, re-register existing Isas and Peps but this is its first time offering this on unwrapped business.
