The Baring Emerging Europe Trust is to offer an Isa option on its shares from 1 November 2001. The trust, managed by Klaus Bockstaller, has returned 78.3% on its shares over three years to 26 September, on a mid to mid, net income basis, compared to the Emerging European sector average return for the sector 54.1%. Investors in the trust will be able to combine it with an Isa investment in the international generalist Tribune Investment Trust. Barings believes this will help to balance out the risk for retail investors who would otherwise be investing solely in emerging Europe.
