VCTs will be included in the Investment Week Investment Trust of the Year Awards for the first time this year. In previous years, the judg-ing panel felt there were an insufficient number of VCTs with large enough assets and a long enough track record to justify inclusion. This year the situation is very different and the judges felt VCTs represent one of a number of specialist growth areas for closed-ended funds that deserve to be recognised.
