Alliance Trust has added a fund supermarket to its existing equity trading platform, using the same transaction-based charging structure. This supermarket offers a rebating model, giving back any commission received from underlying funds to investors. The group set up an open architecture platform for investment trusts in the 1980s, later extending this to UK-listed shares, gilts, corporate bond and ETFs.
