Nucleus funds to make retail debut

The Nucleus American Trust, managed by Tana Focke, is among a range of funds the management group Smith & Williamson will bring to the retail market in January 2006. The fund, which has previously only been marketed to private clients, will be made available to top-end advisers with both initial and trail commission available. The move comes as the group outsources the £27m Nucleus European Trust to New Star Asset Management. The fund will be run by Michael Bartek, who co-manages New Star's European Leaders portfolio.
