Keydata is hoping that the listing of shares in Giles Hargreave's Aim VCT will persuade people concerned about his lack of VCT experience to invest in the trust. Hargreave's background is in conventional small-cap investing rather then venture capital but the group believes that once the trust is established, previously wary investors will subscribe for trust shares. Just under £1.5m of shares have been allotted in the trust. Subscriptions so far have reached £2.5m, still short of a target of £30m.
