Gartmore to rename Surtees' fund Fixed Interest

Group may also move the manager's Corporate Bond portfolio into £ Strategic Bond sector to differentiate products

Gartmore has applied for authorisation to rename its Corporate Bond fund the Fixed Interest fund following the planned acquisition of John Anderson's Rensburg Corporate Bond vehicle. The Gartmore fund, currently managed by Simon Surtees, is languishing near the bottom of its sector over one, three and five years. It may also be shifted into the IMA's £ Strategic Bond sector out of the £ Corporate Bond sector, in order to further differentiate the products, though no timescale has been set. Anderson's top-decile fund is ranked fourth out of 86 in the sector over one year, climbing 6.1%...
