Property investment giants New Star and Norwich Union will go head to head with international bricks and mortar fund launches this year. While Norwich Union has unveiled a European commercial property fund, New Star is to offer an international bricks and mortar portfolio later in the year. New Star has negotiated a modification to UK fund rules to create a retail portfolio investing in international direct property in a tax-efficient way.
