The FSA has postponed its proposals allowing the development of Funds of Alternative Investment Funds (FAIF) in the retail market until next year. The policy statement and final rules, due to be published towards the end of this year, have been delayed after the regulator identified a number of taxation issues. HM Treasury is currently considering these issues in conjunction with the offshore funds regime.
