Investment trust Isa purchases fell off in the last quarter of 2004, dropping 21% over the previous year. In the last three months of the year, purchases of investment trust Isas through AITC-member trusts and their managers fell to £8.51m compared with £10.79m in 2003. However, it was still enough to see total purchases for the year rise 2% to £62.33m from £60.96m in 2003. The most popular sector in the fourth quarter of 2004 was Global Growth, accounting for 32% of purchases, some 5% of which were through advisers.
