The FTSE 100 rose 32.60 points in early trading after the oil price was boosted by political tensions in Georgia. The UK benchmark index started at 5521.80 this morning with oil stocks leading the index higher. BP was one of the top risers this morning increasing 7.25 points to 526.75 while HSBC fell -4.25 to 854.25. BAE Systems was down 4 points to 471 while Rolls Royce moved up to 400, helped by a strengthening dollar. Pharmaceuticals were among the biggest losers with Astrazeneca down 44 points to 2549. The Royal Bank of Scotland was one of the top gainers on the FTSE 100 on Frida...
