Investors are deterred from investing in maxi Isas as they are seen as too complicated, a survey by Alliance & Leicester has revealed. Out of the 39% of British adults that have investments, only 12% choose a maxi Isa and the amount held in the wrappers has fallen from just over half, to a quarter of the amount invested in Isas as a whole since their launch in 1999. Alliance & Leicester also found only 52% of people consider tax efficiency important when considering their investment options.
