JPMorgan is to bring its Emerging Markets Local Currency Debt fund to the UK retail market. Run by Gunter Heiland, it aims to achieve a return in excess of the bond markets of emerging countries by investing primarily in fixed and floating rate debt securities, using derivative strategies where appropriate Launched in January, the Luxembourg-domiciled Sicav will invest predominantly in countries where economic reform is likely to result in upgrade of the debt. It is benchmarked against the JPM GBI-EM Global Index Total Return Gross. Minimum investment in the product is €1,000.
