Barings is adding an Asian vehicle to its single strategy hedge fund range, subject to regulator approval. Managed by Adrian Au the Baring Asia Strategic fund will be launched on 1 March and invest in Asian equities including India and Australia but excluding Japan. Consisting of 50 positions, Au will aim to create a beta neutral portfolio that is uncorrelated to Asian markets.
