Aviva has appointed Paul Abberley to head its active portfolio management business. Reporting to chief executive Alain Dromer, Abberley will also become chief investment officer of the group’s fixed-income team that runs over £50bn in assets. Abberley was previously CIO of fixed income at now dissolved ABN Amro Asset Management.
