Investec is launching an A-share class for its Global Emerging Market Debt fund after it was initially launched for institutional investors in June 2006. UK retail investors will be able to access the vehicle that invests in local-currency government bonds, currency forwards, dollar-denominated debt, corporate bond, futures, swaps and options. The fund is managed by Peter Eerdsmans and the portfolio’s holdings are spread across Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hungary, Turkey, Mexico, Russia and other emerging market regions.
