Maia multi-managers has removed all exposure to “comfort blanket” equity income vehicles in its £34m Cautious fund in a bid to further diversify into alternative assets. Chris Ralph, Simon Mungall and Jason Collins have sold all UK equity income funds in favour of allocating capital to funds such as MPC Global Convertibles. Run by former JP Morgan managers Miles Geldard and Lee Manzi, the fund aims to capture upside in equity markets while minimising capital losses during market falls.
