Standard Life Investments has renamed its American Growth fund and altered the investment process to make it a high conviction vehicle. The fund is now called American Equity Unconstrained, and continues to be managed by Jeff Morris, who has run the portfolio since January 2007. SLI said the fund had been repositioned and given a higher performance target, and the number of holdings has been cut from 90 to between 40 and 70.
