Nigel Bolton’s European team has now taken root at BlackRock after moving over from Swip in March. Ex-Invesco Perpetual manager Alister Hibbert, picked to run the high-octane £84m European Dynamic fund, has upped the vehicle’s risk-profile since taking over. “When we took over the funds, they were in good shape but we wanted to up the risk across the sectors,” he added. “Our first call was to express our view of the world more forcefully.” The fund is now second out of 104 sector rivals for three-month performance, reporting -0.7% to 14 July according to Morningstar.
