Schroders is launching what it believes to be the first long-only vehicle offering exposure to gold and metals through the futures market. Scheduled for launch on 7 July, the Gold & Metals fund will sit in the Alternative Solutions range alongside Agriculture and Commodity, which together have around $9bn AUM, and Global Energy. It will be co-managed by Robert Howell, who runs the Commodity fund, and Paula Bujia, a commodity equity analyst.
