Jupiter is launching a third fund for Eastern European specialist Elena Shaftan, giving her major flexibility to invest in Western countries for the first time. New Europe is a Ucits III Sicav aimed at professional investors and will have no cap on inflows. It will invest the majority of assets in Russia and other central nations but can also hold up to a third in Western European companies exposed to the Eastern theme. The managers gave the Austrian Erste Bank as an example of such a company, although this will not necessarily be a holding. For more details, see today's Investment Week.
