Japanese stock markets are looking cheap relative to other equity markets, according to Melchior manager Akira Yoshimi. The fund manager said after two years of falling equity markets and being unloved by foreign investors valuations have come down to levels that is not only cheap relative to other regions but also compared to historical levels in Japan. “The Japanese stock market is currently trading on a forward Price/Earnings ratio of 13x which is the lowest level for over 30 years.
