Star manager Mark Niznik has resigned from Standard Life Investments. Niznik is expected to join Artemis, although a spokesperson for the company would not confirm this today. Artemis already has an established small companies team including John Dodd. Niznik is currently on gardening leave after resigning last week. UK smaller companies head Harry Nimmo has taken over Niznik’s UK Opportunities fund until the firm appoints a permanent replacement.
